Dumpster Rentals

Dumpster Rentals

For those of you that have an ongoing need for a container to collect your waste over time, we offer roll off rentals that can provide a place to consolidate all of the trash that accumulates while you renovate your kitchen or basement. This can provide an easy way to manage a large amount of debris generated while working on your home.

It’s important that when you rent a dumpster that you choose a size that’s appropriate for your situation. Getting a dumpster that’s too small would be a major headache, because it would possibly require renting another dumpster. That’s why even though it may seem like it’s not necessary, we recommend that you calculate the estimated total size of the items you plan on removing to make sure the dumpster you plan on renting has enough space to fit everything.

The dumpster sizes we offer are approximately 10, 20, 30, and 40 cubic yards. The 10-yarder generally has enough space for smaller clean-up projects and smaller amounts of wood, tiles and other housing materials. A 20-yard dumpster can be suitable for larger projects or cleanups (double the size of what you’d use a 10-yard container for). For a renovation project, a 30-yard container would be most appropriate. Any type of demolition or remodeling would most likely be taken care of at this size. Finally, the largest projects like commercial clean-outs or renovations would be reserved for 40-yard dumpsters.
Given that it’s important to get the size of the dumpster correct before you find out you need a bigger one, we recommend consulting with us for help deciding on the best possible size.

Once you’ve decided on a size, it’s important to note that it could take a few days before a dumpster is available, so it’s best to schedule in advance of when you’ll need it. Finally, once the dumpster is on the way, here are some tips for how to best prepare. If you plan on placing the dumpster in your driveway, it’s generally best to put plywood underneath in order to protect the surface beneath from marks and damage. The same can be said for lawns or other similar surfaces; the immense weight of the dumpster especially when full can tear up the turf, which can be highly inconvenient.

If you’re instead planning on having the dumpster on the street, make sure you check with your local government to see if there are any permits required. It’s likely that there will be some sort of permit process required, and if there is, the fine for not getting one in advance can be high.
